All quotes provided by SGPH are free of charge and carry no obligation. A written quote is valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
Quotes are based on the information provided to us at the time. If additional work is identified once a job is underway — such as concealed damage or materials not originally accounted for — we will notify you before proceeding and agree any variation in writing.
Verbal estimates are indicative only and not binding. A confirmed written quote must be accepted before work commences.
Work will only begin once you have confirmed acceptance of our quote in writing (by email, message, or signed form). By accepting a quote, you agree to these terms of service.
You are responsible for ensuring that SGPH engineers have safe, unobstructed access to carry out the agreed work at the agreed time. If access is not available, we may charge a call-out fee to cover our costs.
You must inform us in advance of any known hazards at the property (e.g. asbestos, structural issues, or ongoing works by other contractors).
Payment terms will be stated on your quote or invoice. Unless otherwise agreed:
Late payments may incur interest at 8% above the Bank of England base rate in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
All work carried out by SGPH is completed to a professional standard and in accordance with current UK building regulations and best practice. We carry full public liability insurance.
We provide a 12-month workmanship guarantee on all labour. This does not cover damage caused by misuse, third-party interference, or fair wear and tear. Manufacturer warranties on parts and materials remain subject to the manufacturer's own terms.
You may cancel or reschedule a booking with at least 24 hours' notice at no charge. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee to cover our engineers' time and any materials ordered specifically for your job.
SGPH will not be liable for any indirect or consequential losses arising from our work, including loss of earnings or damage to contents not directly caused by our negligence.
Our total liability to you in respect of any claim shall not exceed the value of the work carried out under the relevant contract.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other matter where liability cannot be excluded by law.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our services after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
